Two days of full on Backgammon.

March 4th A Round Robin Event. Everyone will be guaranteed to play 5 to 6 - 9 point matches. The Pools will be seeded with different levels of players. Expert to Beginner. Novices & Beginners will have an opportunity to win games.

March 5th Top eight players from the Round Robin Event will play Knockout Matches to determine 1st 2nd 3rd places.

Consolation Tournament will be played on Sunday for all those who did not make it into the finals but still want to roll the dice. Another Round Robin Event to ensure everyone can play multiple times with multiple players.

Side Pool: We will organize a Side Pool for those who want to add a little zest to their Tournament. $ 100.00 NZD for Top Pool. $ 25.00 for Bottom Pool. Split is 75% for 1st place, 25% for 2nd place. Strictly voluntary.

Prize: Trophy’s will be given to 1st / 2nd / 3rd place.

Plate will be given to winner of the Consolation Tournament.

Doors open at 9:30 AM. Briefing at 9:50 AM. Tournament starts at 10:00 AM.

You don't have to be an Expert to enter the Tournament. You are guaranteed to play at least 5 - 9 point matches against players whose skill range from Expert to Beginner. It is a lot of fun and a very good Backgammon learning experience. Give it a go.
