Two days of full on Backgammon.

October 6th Standard Swiss Format. Everyone is guaranteed to play 5 – seven point Matches. The pairings are random in the first Match. Players are not eliminated if they lose the first Match. No Player meets the same opponent twice. Successive rounds match Players with scores as similar to each other as possible. By the 3rd Match Experts are playing Experts, Average are playing Average and Novices are playing Novices.

October 7th Top sixteen (16) Players from the Swiss Format will play Knockout Matches to determine 1st 2nd 3rd places.

Clocks will be used for the final (8) Players in the Knockout Matches.

Consolation Tournament will be played on Sunday for all those who did not make it into the finals but still want to roll the dice. Standard Swiss Format to ensure everyone can play multiple times with multiple Players.

Prize: 100 % of the Entry Fee’s will be used to fund Prizes & Trophies.

• 1st Place: $ 300.00 estimate
• 2nd Place: $ 150.00 estimate
• 3rd Place: $ 100.00 estimate

Consolation: $ 50.00 estimate

Trophy’s will be given to 1st / 2nd / 3rd place.

Trophy will be given to winner of the Consolation Tournament.

Doors open at 9:30 AM. Briefing at 9:45 AM. Tournament starts at 10:00 AM.

You don't have to be an Expert to enter the Tournament. You are guaranteed to play at least 5 - 9 point matches against players whose skill range from Expert to Beginner. It is a lot of fun and a very good Backgammon learning experience. Give it a go.
